My mother called these "dried peppers" ..the real Italian name is Pepperoni Chrushchi. ...well something like that. A Calabrian dish where you get these special peppers ... in the US they are called " Jimmy Nardello peppers" named after the italian gent who first brought the seeds to America ... you hang them and dry them ..then "flash fry" them in hot olive oil, salt them and enjoy!
